Dr. Singhania is a Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician (Specialist Paediatrician) who is running her own children’s clinic in Dubai since last 14 years. The clinic deals with children suffering from behaviour problems, educational difficulties like autism, ADHD and ADD and all other types of children with special needs. Assessment and management of these problems are offered at the clinic. She is also currently attached as a consultant to City Hospital DHCC, Dubai.

A recipient of her university’s gold medal for top honours in her graduating class of 1980, Dr. Singhania has worked with both rural and urban children in various locations in India. She has also studied in Munich, Germany; Charlottesville, Virginia and in New York City.

Her work with the world-renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children in London resulted in her PhD. in Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics from the University of London. She has completed her M. Ed. in Special Education – Autism from the Birmingham University. She got a doctoral degree in psychology from Calamus University UK and a diploma in counselling and psychotherapy from the same university.

She has done several workshops and training programmes on Development in Visually handicapped children, in Educational Medicine, in various areas of autism like PECS, Verbal Behaviour and is a certified DAN! Protocol Doctor for Biomedical  Intervention for Autism.

She has contributed enormously to the world of special needs. She was one of the first neurodevelopmental paediatricians in the Middle East. She was one of the first physicians in Dubai who promoted understanding of ADHD and autism in Dubai. She has seen over 5000 patients and has elevated the evaluation of special children to international levels. She has seen patients from all levels of society and worked with families from over 50 nationalities and cultures.

In India she started a school for special needs children. She did rural development programmes to improve language development in poor rural children.

She has headed both a pediatric and a General Hospital in India

She is a voluntary member of the International Social Services Geneva and helps children of families with problems across the border.

She has conducted several workshops and training programs in Dubai on ADHD/ADD and Autism both for parents and professionals. She has presented papers on ADHD and Autism in national and international conferences in the UK, India and the UAE.

Dr. Singhania is currently running her own clinic, Singhania Children’s Clinic, out of Dubai Healthcare City in the United Arab Emirates. It been operational since February 1996, dealing with everything from routine paediatric care and health to development monitoring and developmental, behavioural, educational problems in children.
